Nigerians Still have Confidence in Your ability to Positively Impact the Nation...Fubara tells Youth Corps Members

The Rivers State Governor Sir Siminalayi Fubara, has expressed satisfaction with the enormous
contribution of Youth Corps members to nation-building saying it was a clear testament that the hope placed on them by Nigerians was not misplaced.

The Governor stated this tuesday at the NYSC permanent orientation camp, Nonwa-Gbam, Tai LGA, during the closing ceremony of the 2026 Batch B Stream I orientation course for Corps Members deployed to Rivers State.

Represented by the Permanent Secretary, Special Services Bureau, office of the Secretary to the State Government, Mr. Samson Dede, Fubara charged the Corps Members to be patriotic and exemplary in making positive impacts in the lives of the members of their host communities.

He advised them to equip themselves with relevant skills by maximizing the opportunity presented by the NYSC Skill Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development (SAED) programme in order to build the capacity and competence that will make them to compete favorably in the economic marketplace.

The Governor urged the Corps Members to see Rivers State as their home and take advantage of hospitality of the people to enhance their lives.

The NYSC State Coordinator, Mr. Moses Oleghe, in his speech, commended the Corps Members for their active participation in all camp programmes and activities.

Oleghe thanked security agencies for providing top-notch security in and around the camp as well as the Local government Chairmen of Tai and Ahoada East for their continuous and consistent interest in the success of NYSC operations in the state.

A total of 3,517 Corps Members made up of 1,574 males and 1,943 females successfully completed the 3-week orientation course in Rivers State.
