Nobody can force me to support Tinubu in 2027- Gov Makinde

Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State has said that he will not support President Bola Tinubu in 2027 Presidential election no matter the pressure. Gov Makinde who made the assertion during a Chat with Channels Television in Ibadan said people should be allowed to choose who to support pollitically and not being coerced or bullied to do so. The Governor who gave a brief history of of his relationship with the FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike said it was Wike who volunteered to hold the PDP for President Tinubu in 2027 Presidential election even when he was asked by the President to do so. He said the statement made by Wike at the meeting with the President shocked him adding that he had to confront Wike on why he made that unsolicited statement given the fact that Wike was still a member of the PDP. The Oyo state Governor said the PDP remains a formidable political party and warned that the counrty shoild not be allowed to drift into a one party state.
