Kumuyi Charges Global Youths to Shatter Limits, Pursue Excellence

The General Superintendent of Deeper Christian Life Ministry and Convener of the Global Crusade with Kumuyi (GCK), Pastor (Dr.) W.F. Kumuyi, has challenged thousands of youths worldwide to break through personal, academic, career and spiritual limitations and rise to lives of excellence.

Kumuyi gave the charge on Saturday at the Impact Academy, held at Anglican Grammar School, Ota, Ogun State, under the theme “Transformed to Break Limits.”

Preaching on “Transformed Achievers Lifted Beyond Previous Limits,” with a character study from Daniel 1:20, the cleric urged teenagers, students, corps members and young professionals to become destiny-driven, disciplined and intentional about their future.

The programme, which was streamed globally, attracted participants from different parts of the world, with the broadcast reaching audiences in more than 120 countries.

Kumuyi stressed that the right knowledge, discipline and focus are critical to achieving greatness, warning youths against distractions that could derail their destinies.

“Students should not be focused on campus politics, protest against constituted authority to the detriment of the reason why they are in school,” he said.

He explained that genuine transformation must affect every dimension of life, urging students to rise above their limitations, servants and stewards to expand their capacity for service, and believers to move beyond their present spiritual boundaries.

The respected cleric challenged the youths to reject mediocrity and cultivate habits that distinguish achievers.

Defining the qualities of a true student, he said:
“Student means studious, not stupid; teachable, not terrible; unstoppable, not uncontrollable; diligent, not delinquent; ever ready, not evil ready; notable, not notorious; thoughtful, not thoughtless.”

On spiritual transformation, Kumuyi called on the youths to embrace salvation, develop a deeper walk with God and allow the Scriptures to shape their lives.

“Spiritually, you must be transformed through salvation and reign over sin and self, nourished through the scriptures to have a glorious end,” he urged.

He also charged them to “be filled with the Spirit, be occupied in His service and desire His sanctuary.”

The session ended with prayers for the participants, as Kumuyi urged them to leave the programme determined to make a difference.

“Go and excel in life,” he told the youths.

The Impact Academy is part of the ongoing four-day Global Crusade with Kumuyi in Ota, Ogun State, which commenced last Wednesday.
The academy featured a variety of sessions and activities, including teachings on the essentials of worship, spoken-word presentations, question-and-answer sessions, praise and worship, and a book review.

Organisers said the global reach of the Impact Academy reflects their commitment to raising a new generation of disciplined, transformed and influential leaders capable of making a positive impact on their generation.
