2026 Batch A Stream I Corps Members deployed to Rivers State for their orientation exercise have been advised to take the service year very seriously and not see it as just a year of jamboree and waste.
Dr. Levi Agim, Director, Internal Audit, NYSC National Directorate Headquarters, Abuja, who gave the advice while addressing the Corps Members said that the service year offers them the opportunity for sober reflection, introspection, and appraisal of their lives,
He charged them to serve with a patriotic spirit, discipline, passion, commitment, and dedication, bearing in mind that the nation places huge hope and expectations on them.
Dr. Agim concluded by advising the Corps Members to be role models in the communities where they will be posted, make positive impacts in the lives of the people, be good ambassadors of the NYSC Scheme and equip themselves with a skill through the instrument of SAED.
In his camp situation brief, Rivers State NYSC Coordinator, Mr. Moses Oleghe informed the Director that the Corps Members have been disciplined, well-behaved, and actively participating in all camp programs and activities.
Mr. Oleghe informed him that the exercise is going to plan despite hiccups of high cost of food items and maintenance of camp facilities.
