Fresh fake Agency Scandal: Tinubu orders Arrest, Suspends three Permanent Secretaries

President Bola Tinubu has ordered the immediate arrest of George Buchi Nwabueze and suspended three permanent secretaries following the discovery of another alleged fake government office operating within the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (OSGF).
The Chairman of the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC), Dr Musa Aliyu, SAN, disclosed this after briefing the President on the commission’s ongoing investigation into fake government entities and weaknesses in the public service.
According to Aliyu, the alleged fake office, known as the National Brands Development and Made-in-Nigeria Special Project Office, was illegally allocated office space within the OSGF without presidential approval.
The ICPC identified Nwabueze as the alleged promoter, noting that he operated under several names, including George Nathan, George Nathan Nwabueze, Honourable George Buchi Nwabueze, Prince George Buchi Nwabueze, and George Nwabueze.
The commission also identified suspected collaborators within the OSGF and is investigating their roles. The development follows the earlier discovery of the alleged Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council, as part of a broader probe ordered by President Tinubu.
