Contribute to Nation Building.. NYSC Media Director Charges Corps Members

The Director of Media, NYSC, Chief Julian Chukwuemeka Rems Mgbemena has told Corps Members that their one year of national service is a journey of nation-building which must be taken seriously.

He stated this tuesday at the NYSC permanent orientation camp, Nonwa-Gbam Tai, during an official visit to address the 2026 Batch B Stream I Corps Members deployed to Rivers State.

The Media Director reminded them that the measure of growth and success of any individual was largely dependent on the quality of the friends and charged the Corps Members to build quality and enduring friendship across ethnic and tribal and religious lines.

Chief Mgbemena advised them to be disciplined, patriotic, security conscious, hardworking, and determined to succeed in life, urging them not to engage in frivolous travels, but rather, remain at their place of primary assignment and acquire relevant skills packaged by the NYSC SAED programme.

In his camp situation brief, Rivers State NYSC Coordinator, Mr. Moses Oleghe informed the Director that the Corps Members have demonstrated character traits that portray hope of a better country tomorrow if they sustained the discipline and high sense of responsibility exhibited since their arrival at the camp.

He thanked the Media Director for choosing Rivers State as the camp to visit and assured him that his administration would continue to be focused, dedicated, and committed to fulfilling the mandate of the scheme.
